Dear Parents and Carers
Year 9 Options Evening
As you will be aware, your child is about to make some very important choices about the courses they will study in Years 10 and 11. In order for both you and your child to be fully informed about the choices available and their current strengths and areas for development, we would like to invite you to our Options evening on Thursday 26th January.
Our Year 9 Pathways Evening will take place from 6.00pm to 8.30pm. There are a wide range of courses available to our students as they enter Year 10 and this is an important opportunity for you to find out about the choices available to your child and help them to make these important decisions.
There will be two sittings for the information talk – 6.00 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. – to guide you through the range of courses on offer and how your child should go about making these choices. You will receive a personalised letter as part of your pack on the Review Day on Friday 20th January indicating which sitting you need to attend.
On the Options Evening you will receive a copy of the Options Booklet containing all the information about the courses on offer and after the information talk teachers of all of our Key Stage 4 courses available to explain their courses and answer any questions you may have.
We hope that you will be able to join us for this event and that you will find it informative and helpful in helping your child to make the right choices for the next stage of their education.
